The sharp-eyed among you may have noticed that this page is numbered 29, whereas the cover was numbered 27. That's because there was originally a cast list at the beginning of this story (and, yes, it was on Page 28!) I only mention that because the Kirk character here isn't named. For the benefit of any completists out there in web-land, his name here is Captain Quirk.

The more grammatically inclined may also notice that the teenage me seems not to have known the difference between "void" and "devoid". Think of it as development!
