I've increased the size of this, so you can appreciate all the detail. It's an extract from a panel in Chapter 10 of Shades. In retrospect increasing the size this much might have been a mistake ... you can't quite see the whole picture on a PC screen (and it looks so much better when you can!)

This image wasn't in the early drafts of the script but I was never quite able to shake the idea that, somewhere in the comic, there ought to be a picture of Boo and her modern-day "chariot" set against the real-life Victorian statue of "Boadicea" (as she was previously known).

So, when I did my last rewrite of Chapter 10, I grasped the nettle and included this shot. As you can see, Nickel has combined both Boos perfectly - exactly as I'd envisioned them!

I don't have a colour version of this yet (at time of writing, Qoiri has only just started work on Chapter 10) but if these B&W inks don't get you excited about what's to come, I don't know what will!
