Happy Christmas, everybody!

I'm sure you're all well aware by now that my artistic skills are pretty much limited to defacing other people's artwork, so that's exactly what I've done here!

The original of this pic is a panel way back in Chapter 4 of Shades.

The Christmas outfit was taken from some online catalogue. When I found it, I was actually only searching for a Santa hat to put on Boo's head but - once I saw the full dress - I was pretty sure I could tailor it to fit ... Big mistake!

The model's pose turned out to be significantly less like Boo's than I'd first imagined and my PhotoShop skills are, if anything, even more limited than my artistic ones. Making the dress fit eventually involved cutting it into small pieces, reversing sections, flipping sections and then piecing them all together again before finally colouring over one or two joins.

By the end I began to know what Stan must feel like when he's making costumes for these people!

Anyway, this is our little way of saying "thank you" to you for following Shades (and/or any of the other comics here at BVC!) ...
