Starting from the day I first began to put together a few notes for the idea of a UK-based super hero story, "Shades" has been in development for quite a few years now.

This page is a lttle piece of history - one of the very first pieces of concept art from Harsho. As you can see from the Prologue up and running over in the Comics section, he's changed very little since those heady early days!

To make him armoured and yet flexible, I suggested to Harsho his armour should be made of overlapping "Roman legion" style plates. That concept didn't quite make it into the final costume but I love the way it's been incorporated into the unusual armour plating on his arms. There's something quite prehistoric about it!
