There are a couple of lines in Panel 1 which are not entirely legible. The first is the final exchange between Lynne and Gus. I took the easy way out and decided that this one wasn't worth jiggering around in Photoshop for but, for anyone who's interested, Lynne's line is: "What a pointless discussion" to which Gus replies: "Yes, isn't it." See - not worth the effort!
The second, I almost wish I had tried to salvage! It's no classic but, that blurred smudge just to the left of Gus' head is a mouse with a banner that reads: "Save the mouse - cheese wanted!" I don't know. There's just something about the nonsense of it that tickles me.
Along with DajbDevil, The House that Drac Built and the other comics in this "Memory Lane" section of our workshop, these old comics of mine were, as I've mentioned before, drawn in school exercise books illicitly smuggled out of the stock room. Okay, so you could probably have guessed that from the blue lines that run across the page. The number 58 at the top of the page, however, is an indication of just how many pages of exercise book I had to fill with these things! The volume that this comic came from had 80 pages in all. Many of those are filled with single-page snippets of no particular value or interest but there are also a few other self-contained comics like this, so ... well, you have been warned!
