I love the way Fabrizio's large image of the would-be carrian hunter Brel (diving down from the building, his father already receding into the distance above him) is mirrored in the shot of the carrian unaware of Brel bearing down upon it from above.
Bill's colouring is again superb. Whether it's the flesh tones, the flapping drapery or the broken pillars, everything is shaded with delicious subtlety.
The pillars, incidentally, were a deliberate part of the design for "The Spires". They're not important story-wise but, when building the world of the Spires, I wanted to hint that the city had existed for a long time and that - as with real-world (ground-based!) cities - structures had been continually demolished and built on top of each other other the years, opening up squares like this one or creating new even higher structures on top of the old.
But you're not interested in all that. Just admire the lovely work Fabrizio and Bill have done in bringing it all to life!
