So, here we are at last - the final page of the final full-length chapter!

Given how wordy Shades is (certainly compared to most other comics on the web!), it's a little ironic perhaps that the final page of the main event is a page with no dialogue at all!

As I've said many times before, I've never been a huge fan of comic pages without dialogue but, no matter how many times I tried to re-script this page, I kept coming back to the conclusion that it was one of those rare pages that really do work better if the pictures are allowed to do all the work!

Of course, if you are going to rely entirely on the artwork, especially for a page as important as the final one, you have to be confident that the artist can provide a page that delivers the necessary visual impact. Luckily, as you can see, Nickel delivered yet another superb page and Qoiri's colours are spot on!

Well, the main action is finished now. All that remains is to tie up a few loose ends and we'll be doing that in the epilogue, so do stay with us!
