It was inevitable that, as the stakes in Shades got higher, so Stan and Sunil would play less of a central role. Nevertheless I still sometimes regret that Sunil, in particular, doesn't have more to say in the second half of the book.

On this page, we have another opportunity to remind ourselves that Stan and his family are still pursuing their own plot thread. And, whilst Sunil might not have much to say, the scowl that Nickel has given him in the final panel is surely worth a thousand words!
