Excellent mood work from Nickel again and beautifully coloured by Qoiri. For me, these scenes in Stan's workshop were a sure sign that the new team had the look of Shades completely nailed!

As I said at the beginning, this chapter was inserted into the script after the first draft was complete. Some of the exchanges between Dominion and Bedlam were already in the book elsewhere but, when I re-read it, I realised that something was missing ... There was almost nothing which showed the good guys managing to work out what was going on!

That was the main rationale for inserting this scene. Where to set it was hardly a question. I did toy briefly with the idea of keeping everyone at the Shaman's mansion or having them assemble in Doug's town house but, since Stan has a much smaller role in the second half of the book, it was great to be able to show him at his "day job"!
