Well, here it is! The first page to be drawn by E.C. Nickel and coloured by Muamal Khairi. Looks rather splendid, doesn't it?!

This is an important page for Shades. Not only will this page be the first in Volume 2 of the print version (yes, we're still planning a print version!) but, in story terms, it's the first time we've actually seen any of the "bad guys" left to their own devices.

Bedlam, Credo and Dominion have all made brief appearances but up until now we haven't really been able to get to know them. Hopefully, that's all about to change!

The "altar" that Bedlam's followers are building on this page is based on a (possibly prehistoric) giant figure carved into the South Downs in England, known as the Long Man of Wilmington. To the best of my knowledge, he had nothing to do with altars but he does look pretty impressive!

Oh, and if you think Nickel and Qoiri have done a good job in bringing to life this little construction site, then just you wait ... I've seen the pages still to come and trust me - it gets even better!
