The next question to ask, I suppose, is why? Why take something that works perfectly well as a serious story and mock it?

Partly, I think, because - if we didn't do it ourselves - someone else was bound to eventually. (The web-world seems to be notoriously fond of mocking its own!) And partly because, so far, all the titles here at BVC are serious in tone (some more so than others!) and so it seemed like a good idea to do something that might just be ...well, fun!

And that's how we see this comic to be honest - just a bit of fun. If you haven't already read (or can't remember!) the relevant parts of Shades, you might want to go and read those first. If you have (and you can!), then you're ready to "Lighten Up!"
