Terrific opening page from Nickel - the dark, brooding atmosphere seems to seep out of every panel. Oscar's colouring is spot on, too - the cold, barely lit greys perfectly evoking just the right sense of claustrophobia.

Script-wise, I don't think I can claim much credit for this page. I believe I may have added something to the computer's catalogue of system checks and maybe upped the sense of tension between Kurt and the computer. I'm not sure any more.

I do know I decided to give the mystery radiation a name ("Gurnow radiation") on the grounds that it's easier to refer back to things later if they have names. As far as I can recall, though, that's about the biggest contribution I made - everything else here is more or less exactly as Nickel intended, so the credit for this great opening page is all his!
