As with Immortality, however, there was one problem with asking me to translate the script into English. I didn't speak Portuguese! Fortunately, Nickel produced his own translation from Portuguese into English and so, to be more accurate, I wasn't actually translating from Portuguese at all. Rather, I was tidying up the English of a non-native speaker. Should have been straightforward, right?

Well, yes, except there was one more problem. I'm an inveterate tinkerer! I do it with my own scripts all the time. I write and re-write and revise and, well, just generally tinker right up until the point where the letterer puts the words on the page. And sometimes even after that!

And that's fine, of course, when you're dealing with your own script. As I read Nickel's, however, the "tinkerer" in me started to take over. There were certain changes I knew I wanted to make ... but I was really uneasy about how Nickel might react!
