I don't know if you can remember waaay back before this comic took a break but, if you can, you may recall that Leni originally ventured into the forest to meet her boyfriend, Olex. Now you know what happened to him!

There's a lot of "world-building" background info on this page, explaining how things work in the world of Hunted. For me, though, the nice thing about this whole sequence is Kyri's depiction of the different characters - Josef, the Sheriff, his deputy ... they all have such individual and such expressive faces!

And I dare you to say that last panel doesn't make you want gather poor little Leni up in your arms and give her a big hug!
